She maybe one of the most popular reality TV stars now but just some years ago Kim Kardashian was suffering domestic abuse at the hands of her ex-husband Damon Thomas who berated her for her looks.

The shocking allegations are detailed in the star's newly uncovered divorce papers, which were filed in 2003, reported Daily Mail online.

The 29-year-old socialite who eloped with music producer Thomas at the age of 19, claimed that she was repeatedly beaten during the course of their three-year-long marriage.

According to the documents, Thomas would punch her in the face, slam her against walls and throw her across the room, leaving her bruised and battered.

He also demanded that she go under the knife, because he wanted her to be "perfect" and gave her $ 3,650 to get liposuction.

Thomas, who has worked with artists such as Lionel Richie and Pink, even forced Kardashian to quit jobs and college, poisoned her mind against her own family and would not let her see her friends, the court papers claim.

At the time of their quickie Las Vegas wedding she was working as a sales girl at a Los Angeles shop called Body, but her new husband soon made her quit the job.

She claims he would not let her spend time with her family and friends, start arguments at family gatherings and tried to convince her that her mother and sister were "evil".
