Nine months after people first started buzzing about Emma Watson starring in 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower,' the 'Harry Potter' star is speaking up. On Thursday, the 20-year-old actress used Twitter to confirm her newest movie role.
In May, we reported that Emma was considering the role in the Stephen Chbosky adaptation, and now we can definitely expect to see the British star on the big screen as someone other than Hermione.
Emma has been cast as Sam, the first love of the main character, Charlie, who will be played by 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' star Logan Lerman. The story, told through the perspective of a teenage outcast, will touch on some mature topics, so the film will be a big departure from what we've seen from both stars in the past.
When we asked you whether you were excited about the movie adaptation, almost 50 percent of you said yes, while others had not read the book or wanted more information about it.
