- Her mother Stacy reportedly has been romancing another women - tennis professional Claudette Laliberte - since leaving the singer’s father. (March 2008)
- Partnered with the Crystal Light beverage brand to launch uPumpItUp.com, a new social networking Web site that will help women feel good about themselves. (February 19, 2008)
- Ranked #75 on the Maxim magazine Hot 100 of 2008 list.
- Was listed as a potential nominee on the 2008 Razzie Award nominating ballot. She was suggested in the Worst Supporting Actress category for her performance in the film BECAUSE I SAID SO (2007). She failed to receive a nomination however.
