Kim Kardashian is no wallflower, but she's not out there getting repeatedly arrested or anything, either.

When asked during her appearance on The Tonight Show Tuesday how she avoids trouble like, er, some other young celebrities out there, the E! star credited her lack of taste for alcohol and, of course, her fellow Kardashians.
Even if she did kinda throw Kourtney under the bus...

"Well, I've never really been a drinker," the multitasking celeb explained. "I've never gotten really—well, not really—I've never gotten into drugs. You know, I think I have such a close family..."

The audience finished her sentence for her with a round of applaus.

"At a young age, you know, I think my sisters did enough drinking to kind of fill up the whole family," Kim added, "so I think from a young age, my dad made it very clear that, 'OK, you're the responsible one, you have to watch your sister.' (We're assuming she means Kourtney, considering Khloé would have been about 10.)

"And he taught me how to drive when I was 14 in case my sister or her friends were going to be drinking, and I had always had permission to drive, or else I had to call him from the destination to the final place...So I always felt this sense of pride that he had in me as the responsible one, so I've always wanted to make him proud.

"And," Kim added, "I hate the taste of alcohol."

"I did say that, at 30, I'm going to have a drink to lighten up because my sisters say I'm so boring," she continued. "So I tried a White Russian a few months ago...It tastes like chocolate milk, and it's kind of amazing."

Sep 28, 2010 - Katy Perry Too Sexy For Sesame Street- Katy Perry’s performance on US children’s show Sesame Street has been pulled by producers.

It is thought that some parents who saw a preview video on YouTube have complained that the pop star’s outfit was too revealing.

The singer was filmed singing a version of her hit Hot & Cold alongside puppet character Elmo. She changed the words to her hit song for her appearance. She wore a low-cut acid-green top and attempting to dress-up with Elmo while singing a cleaned-up version of her song.

Sesame street released a statement that the performance would no longer be screened because of the feedback they’ve received. It has been scheduled to be aired on US television on New Year’s Eve. The show said that it would still be available on YouTube, however, it has now been removed by the officials of Sesame Street channel.

Katy Perry Saturday Night Live (SNL), Elmo shirt and show of clevage. Internationally-famed pop star Katy Perry will be now seen at Simpsons puppet for Christmas episode. The singer had got into controversy after planning to make her appearance in skimpy dress in Sesame Street last week.
She had angered many parents by making her appearance in low-cut dresses. She came under severe criticism for showing too much cleavage.

After this incident Perry has been thinking of moving to a better place where nobody would chide her for making an appearance in skimpy dress. It is understood that the Simpsons in December will be the best thing for her.
Executive producer Al Jean confirmed this to the die-hard followers of the show. He said: "In the wake of Elmo's terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry."

On the show Perry will be leading the gang in singing "The 39 Days of Christmas."

Thus Perry has taken a turn to comedy. Those who are aware of her skills say this nothing new keeping in mind her recent foray into acting, including a pair of appearances in skits on the season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. It would be interesting to see how Perry performs in the show. All eyes will on her.

Katy Perry isn’t letting Sesame Street have the last word. Last week, the pop singer’s performance with Elmo was cut from an upcoming episode of the children’s show after her cleavage-baring dress was considered inappropriate. On Saturday Night Live this weekend, Katy showed the goods again, this time in an Elmo t-shirt on an SNL segment called “Bronx Beat.” Check out the video:BMW sports carKaty recently told CBS that she’s okay with people not taking her seriously: “”It’s not like I’m like, you know, Carole King here, although I admire Carole King. I don’t want to be the ‘indie darling’, because sometimes, the ‘indie darling’ means that nobody’s heard of you before.” Yes! Fame is everything!

Katy Perry agreed to provide back-up vocals for Selena Gomez's new song 'Rock God', after the teenage singer begged their agent to ask Katy to sing with her on the song she wrote.

Katy Perry has recorded a "funky" duet with Selena Gomez. The 'Teenage Dreams' singer penned a track called 'Rock God' for the 18-year-old Disney star's new album 'A Year Without Rain', but was eventually persuaded to record back-up vocals for the song too.

Describing the tune, Selena said: "Katy Perry gave me a song called 'Rock God.' It's one of my favourite songs ever. I actually had to fight for that song. I wanted it so bad. It's kind of funky, and I think I used her style and we kind of mixed it up with the producers that I worked with my style, so we made it a little bit more techno.

"I just loved her style, and she did background vocals on that as well. So I was very, very blessed on the record, because it's so much fun, and I can't wait to perform it."

Katy Perry may have been axed from Sesame Street, but the star is now set to make a cameo on cartoon series The Simpsons. The California Gurls hitmaker, who was dropped from the the hit children's TV show for wearing a low-cut dress, will reportedly be turned yellow for a one-off appearance in the animated show to air in the US on 5th December.

Perry will join Homer Simpson and Co as the girlfriend of local bartender Moe, and will also lead the cast in a Christmas sing-a-long spoof of Xmas carol The 12 Days of Christmas.

The Simpson's executive producer, Al Jean, revealed to Entertainment Weekly magazine: "In the wake of Elmo's terrible betrayal, The Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry."

"Sesame Steet" appears to be trading in the alphabet for the adult set.

On the heels of PBS' announcement that it would be pulling Katy Perry's cleavage-heavy "Hot N Cold" duet with Elmo from the 41st season, the series has released another adult oriented clip.In "True Mud," the show riffs off "True Blood," HBO's hyper sexual vampire series starring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.

After opening with a song virtually identical to the opening track of the HBO show, an orange muppet with a coif like Bill Compton's enters a diner and asks a Sookie-stye waitress with blond hair for some True Mud.

"He must be one of them grouches! Grouches love mud!" some nearby patrons cry, imitating the townsfolk in "True Blood's" first season who gasped at Bill Compton's arrival in an otherwise human bar.

Muppet Sookie brings out some True Spud, by accident, and gives the young viewers a little rhyming lesson.

In the end, the customer jumps into a giant bath of mud.

IF YOU find the songs in Katy Perry’s third studio album, “Teenage Dream”—which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 recently—familiar, it’s because they’re inspired by the provocative playfulness of the music of the ’80s (Madonna) and the theme-propelled melodic riffs of the ’90s (The Cardigans, Alanis Morissette). The giggly, eye-rolling indiscretions the singer describes in “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” provide a saccharine rush that comes from her lyrical candor. The grooves she churns out are without a doubt radio-friendly, but Perry manages to unleash her lyrical provocation without sounding churlish and acerbic.

As the No. 1 hit single, “California Gurls” (her collaboration with Snoop Dogg), demonstrates, she puts the fun in pop. Her mainstream appeal stems mainly from music that’s more about sustainable beats than the cohesiveness of her album’s thematic concept.

She renders the title track, “Teenage Dream,” another No. 1 tune, with a persistent vocal and rhythmic wallop that keeps you grooving, even as the song winds down to its final bar. And, in the winkingly naughty “Peacock,” she challenges the object of her affection (or derision) with lyrics that will make you snicker—or blush!

Last month saw the release of Katy Perry’s latest album, 'Teenage Dream.' To the extreme shock and surprise of absolutely no-one, the album went straight in at Number One, with the first single released from the album, 'California Gurls' (her spelling, not mine) also hitting the top spot. Now far be it from me to take anything away from this success: Perry is a talented singer, adored by thousands of people worldwide. If album sales are what you’re after, then she’s definitely doing something right, and there’s nothing that a silly man sitting on a computer can do to change that.“So what’s she done wrong? Why bother writing at all?” I hear you not ask. Good question.

When Katy Perry stormed onto the pop scene in 2008, she was a mix of fifties-inspired fashion and pop-rock guitar hooks, with her moral compass twisted a little towards the cheeky side. She had kissed a girl, and we liked it: Her bubblegum-pink spirit was a hit with the younger listeners and the album was a smash hit on dance floors all across the country.

So naturally when I got my hands on her new album I was excited. My shaking hands readied the CD player: I whipped on my Miniskirt and got my life-sized cut out of Edward Cullen ready to serenade (worrying behaviour for a 22 year-old male perhaps?). With barely controllable anticipation I pressed play with my hairbrush/microphone at the ready, but something was a little different about the Katy I had grown to know and love.

Singer Selena Gomez 'had to fight' for a song from Katy Perry.Selena admits she had to battle to get the Californian Gurl to make a cameo on her new album A Year Without Rain.

The 18-year-old told MTV News: 'Katy Perry gave me a song called Rock God, it's one of my favourite songs ever.

'I actually had to fight for that song - I wanted it so bad.'

The Ramona and Beezus actress added: 'It's kind of funky, and I think I used her style and we kind of mixed it up with the producers that I worked with with my style, so we made it a little bit more techno.

'I just loved her style, and she did background vocals on that as well, so I was very, very blessed on the record, 'cause it's so much fun, and I can't wait to perform it.'

Russell Brand has revealed the truth about the moment when he first met fiance Katy Perry - and says he immediately fell in love with her.

The previously legendary womaniser elaborated on the often-quoted tale that I Kissed A Girl star Perry threw a plastic bottle at his head during rehearsals for last year's MTV VMAs.

Writing in My Booky Wook 2, the second installment of his autobiography, the funnyman confesses that he wanted 'to pull her hair' afterward but took her out for date the next day instead. But he says by the end of their first meeting, he had totally fallen for her after she gave as good as she got when it came to comedy banter between them and gave him an Alexander McQueen bangle.

Brand gushes: 'You'll think it frivolous of me to say I knew I'd marry her on that first date. The truth is I fell in love with her when she hit me with that bottle.'

He continued: 'From the first date, I changed. No more women. Well, actually, thousands of women. I wake up to a different one each day, they're all her.

'She chose me, bottled me and cuffed me. And now this is my life, my girl, this beautiful woman.'

He also reveals that he had been expressly warned by MTV bosses not to attempt to seduce Perry, as he met her as they rehearsed co-hosting the 2009 MTV VMAs.

After Katy Perry's future husband Russell Brand allegedly got handsy with a paparazzo recently, the singer still managed to smile this weekend -- close pal Rihanna threw her a Las Vegas bachelorette weekend.

"Signing up for a liver transplant now," Perry tweeted on Saturday, poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel beach club.Perry, Rihanna and 25 other guests luxuriated in a private cabana, fully stocked in libations including beer, Champagne and vodka, says People magazine.

Also on deck? "Inflatable objects consistent with bachelorette parties."

Totally expected, given Perry is the same pop nymph who brought us the exploding-whipped-cream-can brassiere. Perry also donned a prop bridal veil, clipped to the backside of her bikini bottom.

Katy Perry stopped by the set of Saturday Night Live over the weekend to perform two songs from her hit album, Teenage Dream, as Amy Poehler made her return to SNL as host.Although Katy Perry performed "California Gurls" before a live studio audience on SNL, Perry also gave the SNL crowd and fans at home the title track from her latst album, "Teenage Dream".

Check out Katy Perry below as she performs "Teenage Dream" on Saturday Night Live:

Katy Perry's days of the single life are dwindling away, and on Saturday she celebrated her rite of passage: her bachelorette party.

Perry, sporting a veil from the bottom of the back of her bikini (think a peacock), arrived at Las Vegas's Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club pool with an entourage of 25 who included Rihanna and inflatable objects consistent with bachelorette parties.Lounging in the VIP cabana in 95-degree temperatures, the group went largely unnoticed while sipping champagne, beer and vodka and munching on finger foods.

In the greatest uproar over public television since Mister Rogers took kids on a tour of his favorite whiskey distillery, Sesame Workshop announced they would pull a segment featuring Katy Perry from future episodes of Sesame Street when parents complained that she was dressed too provocatively.
Firstly, parents should be far more incensed that their kids were going to be subjected to a version of Perry's obnoxious "California Girls" than they should be that she was showing cleavage. For one thing, the target audience of Sesame Street isn't that far removed from breastfeeding (unless you decided to feed your child with formula, to which we say "No judgment!").

That said, the controversy over Perry's performance is just another chapter in a story as old as television itself: inappropriate guests on children's shows. We here at Cultist have compiled a brief history.

September 24 2010 - Lawyers for convicted murderer Amanda Knox are reportedly trying to stop an upcoming film starring Hayden Panettiere.

It was reported earlier this week that Heroes star Panettiere had signed to play Knox in a Lifetime TV movie based on the Italian trial of the 21-year-old student and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito.

Knox and Sollecito were convicted of murdering British student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. However, the pair have always maintained their innocence and are currently challenging their prison sentences.

Maria Del Grosso, Knox's defence attorney, said of The Amanda Knox Story: "It is inconceivable to make a film when a final verdict on this case has not been reached."

Sollecito's lawyer Giulia Bongiorno commented: "If the film is shown before the end of the appeals trial we will request it be seized."
The appeals are due to be heard in court later this year, while the Lifetime project is currently slated for a 2011 airdate.

It takes a very brave lady to take on the editor of fashion bible Vogue in a style battle. Her name? Jessica Alba.

Jess wore this red and black lip print Prada frock first (gasp!) way back in September 2009. Alba wore hers with opaque tights and Gucci heeled Mary-Janes. She slicked back her then-blonde hair and matched her pout to the little scarlet pouts on her dress.

Anna Wintour wore the same dress two whole months later with pointy heels, a black evening coat and the shiniest, thickest tights we have ever seen. With her trademark bob immaculate, Anna added a slick of rosy lippy and kept her jewellery minimal.

Jessica Alba stunned by co-starring with Robert De Niro Hollywood actress Jessica Alba was more than stunned when she received the news that the famous Robert De Niro will be her co-star in a movie. She stated that she was so nervous and restless that she needed some assurance from Robert Rodriguez, who directed the movie known as Machete.
Alba stated that she was so confused when she got the news that she instantly forgot everything planned to say in the movie. She also stated that she began sweating profusely. Rodriguez however told her not to be scared as De Niro was a nice guy and wouldn’t intimidate her in anyway. She stated that she enjoyed working with him in the end as he is a real gentleman.

Alba is the mother of Honor, 2 with hubby Cash Warren and she stated recently that they plan to have more children in future. The actress also stated that she really enjoys time with her daughter and will be a great idea to have more in future. Honor has started walking and talking at the moment and can be very demanding at some times.

She also stated of Honors love for oversized tea shirts and cups even though she never thought her anything like that. Alba said she can be very strict with her at times and reprimands her when she goes wrong.
