When we think about Megan Fox, "nurturing" isn't exactly the first word to come to mind. But Fox's husband and longtime partner Brian Austin Green says she's born to be a mother -- and he should know! When Green first started dating Fox in 2002, his son Kassius was two years old. And although Fox was only eighteen at the time, Green -- who is thirteen years her senior -- tells Details that she instantly "step in and took control."

"She is absolutely my better half in parenting," Green, 37, tells Details. "She just gets it. It's instinctual for her."

Green says he was especially impressed because he was the opposite at eighteen -- a cocky kid coasting on his Beverly Hills, 90210 fame.

"At 18, I was like, 'Hey which club is open tonight?'" Green jokes. "And how cool do my pants look? Can I sneak a drink across the bar without getting caught?"

Green also contests the media description of his six-year relationship with Fox as "on-again, off-again."

"Find a picture of one of us with any other boyfriend or girlfriend," he challenges the reporter. "We never once dated anyone else or did anything else."

It's surprising to hear Green talk about his more-famous wife as a homebody and mother. In the media, Megan Fox has always projected the image of a sexy, unpredictable wild child with a mean streak. But she's also complained that the press gets her totally wrong. And as Green points out, we've never seen a photo of Fox clubbing or getting wasted -- or doing anything, really, except working and hanging out with her hubby and eight-year-old stepson. And we love this PSA they did in the spring to protest the budget cuts at Kassius' school.
