NEW YORK — Rockefeller Center was packed full of Katy Perry fans on Friday morning (August 27) to watch the peppy West Coast girl perform on the "Today" show for the latest installment of this summer's Toyota Concert Series. Many donned their colorful wigs to dance and sing along to "California Girls," "Teenage Dream" and a remix of "I Kissed a Girl." And their costumes matched the Candy Land-esque stage, which was populated by backup dancers and Gummi Bears.

"She was awesome, very creative and colorful," fan Amanda Nunnan said after the show. Perry seemed to have a favorite fan in the crowd, Hayley Solomons, whom she seemed to recognize from an encounter the day before. "Katy Perry gave me this huge lollypop at the concert," the tween said, holding her prize. "She just gave it to me when she had a little break in between the songs!"

One girl in a green wig gushed that the best performance of the morning was "California Girls," and that sentiment was echoed by many of the girls who spoke to MTV News.

"It makes you want to jump!" said one fan.

Morgan Schnee, however, didn't want to discriminate. "I liked all of them equally," she decided.
