Jessica Alba isn’t what we’d call a fashion home run hitter. Usually she keeps it safe — showing off her naturally good assets, applying the perfect shade of self tanner, and wearing what she knows will make onlookers happy: something tight, short, and low cut, that’s not too trashy looking.

But every once in a while, Alba shows up to a photoshoot and blows us away with her rare, but gorgeous, high fashion abilities. Case in point: This photo shoot she shot for Genlux Magazine to promote her new movie, The Killer Inside Me.

In a spread title, Kid Tested, Jessica Approved, Alba threatens American Girl dolls, throws magazines around, and almost sets fire to a pile of clothes — all the while looking rocker-chic in knee highs, a fur vest, and in one shot, a Martin Margiela-looking jagged-rock ring. We can’t wait for the fashion credits on this one!
