Christina Aguilera has hit a big milestone in her life. On Saturday (December 18), the singer turned 30. Meanwhile, her final year in her 20s was quite a momentous one. MTV News takes a look back on the pop powerhouse's 2010.

Aguilera kicked off the year dropping hints about her album Bionic, sharing that it would be all "about the future," embracing dance music in a way she hadn't done with past releases. In March, Aguilera declared she was "Not Myself Tonight" on the record's sexy lead single.

"You will find on this album songs that represent the many sides of me," Aguilera shared weeks later in a message posted on her website. "I have learned that like all women I am sometimes capable of being superhuman. Like all women I am BIONIC."

As the album's release approached, Aguilera took a few jabs at those who compared her new tune to Lady Gaga, declaring that her "work speaks for itself," and before long she was embracing Xtina in her video for "Not Myself Tonight."

In the late spring she then hit up both the "American Idol" finale, where she got teary, and the MTV Movie Awards, where she got sexy. Then, in October, her career took a backseat in the media spotlight when she and her husband, Jordan Bratman, announced that they were divorcing.
