Rihanna has re-written the record books to become the first female solo artist in UK chart history to achieve five number one singles in consecutive years.

The 22-year-old's single and album both went to number one this week - adding to her two songs already in the charts.

Her current number one single, What's My Name, follows Only Girl (In The World) (2010), Run This Town (2009), Take A Bow (2008) and Umbrella (2007).

The only other solo artist to achieve that was Elvis Presley in the 1950s.

Top song What's My Name, which features Drake, climbed from second place, beating last year's X Factor champion Matt Cardle.

Rihanna's other songs in the top ten are Only Girl (In the World), which slipped from six to nine, and Who's That Chick with David Guetta, which climbed from number 13 to 10.

Rihanna's album Loud beat off competition from British rapper Plan B's The Defamation of Strickland Banks.
